Understanding your Curana Health visits and billing
Curana Health provides a variety of healthcare services designed to support your overall health and well-being. Because we offer multiple services under one organization, you may see several different visit types listed on your statement.
Services may include:
Primary Care visits
Management of overall health, chronic conditions, wellness visits, and medical concerns.
Care Management visits
Provides patients with ongoing support between doctor visits. Please note, this is a monthly service fee for enrollment in the program, rather than a charge for a specific in-person visit.
Physician visits in Assisted Living and
Independent Living
An annual visit with a Curana physician to review overall health and care needs.
Behavioral Health psychiatric visits
Evaluation and management of medications related to mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, dementia-related behaviors, and other psychiatric conditions.
Behavioral Health Talk Therapy visits
Counseling and supportive therapy services provided by licensed therapists.
Frequently asked billing questions
Although all of these services are provided through Curana Health, each visit serves a different purpose and may be provided by a different healthcare professional. Similar to visiting your primary care provider, therapist, and specialist in separate offices, each service is billed according to the care provided during that visit. Each provider focuses on a different aspect of your healthcare. Working together as one team allows us to provide more comprehensive care, improve communication among providers, and better support your overall health and well-being.
As a result, you may see multiple visit types listed on a single statement. This does not necessarily mean duplicate charges - it reflects the different healthcare services you received.

If your balance is higher than you expected, please contact our billing department at 855-352-8472. In some cases, we may not have your secondary insurance information on file.
