When Michelle Goodreau stepped into the role of Executive Director for Sodalis Tampa in January 2025, she saw an immediate need for comprehensive in-residence healthcare services for the residents who called the community home.
While the organization was already partnered with an on-site care provider, their hours were unpredictable, their communication style left residents in the dark, and overall, their lack of reliability created an atmosphere of uncertainty across both the community’s assisted living and memory care settings.
“At Sodalis Tampa, we are dedicated to creating a warm, home-like atmosphere where residents can thrive and enjoy their golden years to the fullest,” Michelle said. “But unfortunately, many of our residents and their family members felt disconnected from that mission, as their on-site healthcare experiences weren’t meeting expectations.”
Recognizing the urgent need for change, Michelle sought out an on-site healthcare partner who shared her vision of person-centered care and seamless communication.

“Their providers have blown me away with their professionalism, compassion, and dedication,” Michelle said. “They actively listen, respond promptly, and collaborate seamlessly with everyone across our organization. They also get to know little things about each of their patients, take time to meet their family members, and speak to everyone with genuine care. It takes a whole village to succeed in senior living, and they truly are part of ours.”
Michelle and her colleagues have also been impressed by the providers’ eagerness to support Sodalis Tampa’s nursing and care staff, which helps foster care continuity.
“Their providers make a point to go around and appreciate our staff members, which is so important,” Michelle said. “When our team members see clinicians working hand-in-hand with them, it makes everything more efficient and keeps us on the right path.
